It's a dream to be here. Come in the heart of the Mexican Caribbean. Fill in your check-in and check-out date below and book your stay. We can only promise you great moments and unforgettable holidays with us.
Your home for the retreat is Villa TiLa. Located directly in front of the Indian Ocean and behind a beautiful and calming lagoon, you’ll be guided by the sound of the waves and remain curious about the sounds of the tropical birds. The yoga classes will take place in the garden with a view of the sandy beach. All yoga classes will be led by Dania.
Villa TiLa is in the deep south of Sri Lanka, in Tangalle. We’re nestled in a small fishing village, where fishermen gather, buffalos and cows roam the streets, along with peacocks, monkeys, lizards, and many others. In the evenings, one can go see turtles lay their eggs on the beach next to ours. The popular town Hiriketiya is only a 40 minute tuk tuk drive away, whereas the world-famous Yala National Park is a 1,5 hour drive. You are guaranteed to love our tropical home in the jungle.
Danias' love for yoga started many years ago. At first, she used yoga as a tool to gain physical strength and flexibility, but it soon dawned on her that yoga is not only exercise, but a way of living and expressing yourself, as well as establishing true connections with others. She explored these qualities of yoga in various teacher trainings over the years, deepening her knowledge in Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra and the principles of Ayurveda. Dania’s classes are for everyone: the principles and themes of life and thus yoga are there for everyone, just let yourself be surprised by what lies inside of you.
The retreat is for solo yoga travellers or couples. All levels are welcome to practise with Dania, and there will be opportunities to request and discover areas of yoga that you are curious about.
When immersed in a retreat, the practice will become a routine which will not only feel nourishing and transforming, the experience will also travel home with you.
The importance of nourishment, flavours and variety is a huge part of Villa TiLa. A lot of time will go into planning your meals according to your dietary requests. We are extremely lucky to have so many climatic zones in Sri Lanka – tropical fruits, avocados, local buffalo mozzarella, and root vegetables from the colder high country are available to us almost all year round. Cooking with regional and seasonal ingredients is of utmost importance to us, and we try to avoid all imported goods to support the local economy. All in all, we will make sure you’re all fueled up for lots of movement and to give you a holistic, meaningful well-being experience.
